Preparation Before Wearing Color Contacts

by Jyoti 13 Sep 2024

1. New contact lenses need to be soaked before wearing. Put the removed lenses in the lens box with fresh care solution and soak for about four to eight hours.

2. Clean your hands before wearing, dry them with a lint-free towel, and do not leave moisture on your hands.

3. Prepare contact lenses, tweezers, and other tools in a clean and tidy environment.

4. Clip the lens to the fingertips of your right index finger, hold it in front of your eyes distinguish the front and back sides, and place the lens on the index finger or the wearer. If the lens is turned outward, it is the backside, and if the curvature of the lens is turned inward, it is the front side.

5. Facing the mirror, pull up the upper eyelid with the index finger of your left hand, and gently pull the lower eyelid of the eye from the root of the eyelashes with the middle finger of your right hand. Move the lens on the index finger of your right hand toward the eye, and look up slightly.

6. When the lens is very close to the eyeball, it will automatically adhere to the eyeball. At this time, do not blink quickly. You can try to turn the eyeball a few more times, close your eyes, and turn it a few more times, which will help the lens fit better with the eye.

7. After the eyes adapt, wear the other eye in the same way.

Summary: Mastering these techniques will make wearing contact lenses easier! Remember to keep clean and patient.
