How To Choose Color Contacts

by Jyoti 13 Sep 2024

1. How to choose the right contact lenses for yourself

Observe which color occupies a large proportion of your face. The skin color is a whole, and the prominent colors are eyebrows and hair. Therefore, choosing the color of contact lenses according to the color of eyebrows and hair is a method that is not easy to make mistakes.

For example, if I have black hair and black eyebrows (dark hair color), then I will choose contact lenses with a circle of dark lock edges on the entire outer ring (left) so that my eyes will be more vivid. If you have light hair and light eyebrows, then you cannot choose contact lenses with lock rings. You can choose contact lenses with blurred boundaries and no lock edges (right), which will be gentler.

2. How to choose large-diameter contact lenses

When choosing annual large-diameter contact lenses, you must choose three or four colors, not one color or a mixture of two colors. They will look dull after wearing, but big but not good. For example, choose three-color brown/four-color brown or four-color gray, which is fashionable.

3. How to choose small-diameter contact lenses

When choosing small-diameter contact lenses, don’t just choose a ring. Choose a slightly transitional color or pattern with another ring around it. Such a pattern looks natural and magical when worn.

4. How to choose contact lenses with high gloss and lock edges

For dark hair, try to choose a locked edge style (As shown above), for light hair, try to choose a non-locked edge style (As shown below), and for highlights, it is best to choose a three-stage highlight style, which is more natural and special, and will not be eye-catching.

5. About the water content and base curve of contact lenses

The higher the water content of contact lenses, the better. The higher the water content, the easier it is to dry out. Especially for dry eyes, contact lenses with too high water content should not be worn. 38% is more suitable for most people. Most base curves are between 8.6-8.7. You can go to the eyewear store to measure it, otherwise, it is easy to feel uncomfortable and scratch the lens.
